Baked Jalapenos with a cream cheese filling. Baking these peppers takes all of the heat out of them, so keep some hot sauce handy to kick them up a little.
Ingredients
1 pound mild pork sausage
1-8 oz. package cream cheese softened
15 fresh jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Lightly grease a baking sheet or cookie sheet.
Place a skillet over medium high heat, add sausage and cook until brown. Drain and return to pan to warm. Stir in cream cheese to sausage until completely melted. Remove from heat.
Spoon equal portions into jalapeno halves and arrange on baking sheet. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Bake in preheated oven until peppers are soft and the tops are lightly browned. About 30 minutes.
